Notice Regarding the Lodging Tax [Effective April 1, 2026]

Notice of Accommodation Tax　From April 1, 2026

　From April 1, 2026, an accommodation tax will be introduced in Hokkaido.
Guests staying at accommodation facilities located within Hokkaido will be subject to this tax.
This tax will apply even if the reservation was made before April 1, 2026.
 

Accommodation Fee	Accommodation Tax
Up to 19,999 yen	100 yen
20,000 yen – 49,999 yen	200 yen
50,000 yen and above	500 yen

※An additional charge will be applied per person per night, separate from the accommodation fee.
